Tourism Up 13% in January
Tourism is up almost 14% (13.76) over last year at this same time. With all the tourism investments and real estate growth, What is gonna happen to Costa Rica?

Well just had the best time EVER in Costa Rica! I see now that I found the spot where we will retire. The main thing that makes this place THE PLACE for me is the people are super friendly. I feel at home here. They way everything is just laid back. Oh so different than Miami where I come from. I found this blog lets see how many of you out there agree with me.

I love Costa Rica! I have been working as a volunteer for the past 4 years saving the turtles! Every year I visit I meet more and more incredible people trading zanax for quality of Life.... Nature. I will be looking to stay not quite to retire yet but there are so many opportunities here I might just make it my home.....Bonfires on the Beach !!!

I know the growth you see it all over the place. I am sick of unemployment, terror and taxes etc. If any american feels like me, CR is the answer. I found in Costa Rica friendly people (bilingual). I have more trouble speaking english when visiting Miami then Costa Rica I was amazed... Costa Rica is safe and there is no scary military like other countries. I was amazed at the number of foreigners actually living in CR. Where I feel safe....

It is great having all these foreigners over here, the quality of these visitors is improving, many more educated & appreciative about the beauty of Costa Rica and all the great advantages we can enjoy. Some are so surprised to be able to live a "normal" life, they had forgotten what it was like. I always say that here you can still live at a human dimension, forget fear and stress. Let's hope it will stay like this for a long time ahead.

Considering CR/tired of Miami thanks for that comment. i know that some people out there are just tired of getting by. come here and remember what it was like 10 - 15 years ago. when life was enjoyable.! i am looking real hard for someplace to live while we search for our dream home. it is hear that our grandchildren will learn our family traditions. that i know they will take with them. because they learned it here with maw maw and paw paw. they will pass them on to there children and grandchildren! family values are important to us as to most Americans. i do not know why the liberals forget that! i had to get out while i was still young enough to enjoy what we got! get out to if you can!

well i just saw that tourism is up more than 13%. that is a pretty big jump in one month alone. i called a couple friends that live there now full time!! they told me that CR is no secret to investors anymore! a lot of people are bringing a lot of money down here because they need to put it somewhere it will not only be safe but make them money also is what they explained to me! so i started to do research on CR and buying property down there. what i found was crazy for me. i mean i never thought about buying outside of Florida much less the us. but with this market as it is i gotta do something! i am surprised as hell to see that most countries have some type of ownership cause for foreigners. i never thought that was a big problem then i heard about concession and all that. but in CR i found that it is not so!!! i bought and titled the property in my name at first it was just investing now i am hooked on this place i have come to see as paradise for me and my family. we cannot wait to come back here everytime we leave we are all counting the days till we get back here. let me leave you with this. most of you already know this. The definition of insane is to keep doing the same thing and to expect a diffent result! simply put if you keep doing what your doing you will keep getting what you are getting! people find your HAPPY PLACE your family will thank you for it!
